Connecting Football and Education
In 2003, Majid worked with Liverpool Hope University to co-create the AsiaEurope Liverpool Hope Football Academy.
The concept combined football development with education.
Particular attention was given to creating opportunities for players from communities that historically had fewer established pathways into organised football structures.
The academy represented an evolution from events towards longer-term development.

Majid's Role
Majid was involved in developing the concept and bringing the football and educational elements together through the relationship with Liverpool Hope.
Why It Matters Today
Modern football academies cannot operate in isolation from education and personal development.
Players require pathways, support and realistic planning.
The Liverpool Hope project gave Majid early experience in bringing together football development and an educational institution — an area that remains increasingly relevant to academy and international-development projects today.
