Bringing Football Expertise Together
In 2015/16, AsiaEurope Football Consultancy and the sports division of Middleton Solicitors came together to establish The Football Group.
The idea was to create an organisation capable of bringing different areas of football expertise together.
Activities
Activities over the years included:
- Football consultancy
- Legal relationships
- Player services
- Crisis support
- Education
- Football development
- International football
- Media
- Specialist projects
Majid's Role
Majid was one of the driving figures behind the organisation and subsequently continued leading the business following the retirement of co-founder Alan Middleton.
The experience involved more than providing football advice.
It required developing partnerships, brands, services and teams operating across different parts of the football industry.
Evolution
In 2023, the player-agency element of the business was separated and sold.
This allowed The Football Group to increasingly focus on wider football services, consultancy, education and partnerships.
The Football Group later became part of the wider Sports Group structure, which Majid leads as Managing Director.
